THIERRY MUGLER
French designer Thierry Mugler founded his men's and women's fashion lines in the late 1970s and for the next decade, was successful in providing the world with unique and extravagant fashions that defined the times. A collaborative partnership with cosmetics and skincare company Clarins in 1997 resulted in the creation of Thierry Mugler's most popular fragrances to date: A*Men for men and Angel for women-- a fragrance which remains the only scented product to have periodically outsold the legendary Chanel No. 5 in France. The design house continues to expand its fragrance division and in Winter 2008, had its couture fashion division re-opened under the guidance of Rosemary Rodriguez, formerly of Paco Rabanne, who has also created the label's most recent ready-to-wear collections.
