Aromatic Woody The Classic New Generation
Top Note
LAVENDER: Lavender is mainly a floral and coumarin note with a woody facet. The essence is extracted by steam distillation using freshly cut flowers. The mysterious, sensual quality of lavender is revealed in the top notes of Eau Sauvage Extrême and Dior Homme.
Heart Note
IRIS: Iris absolute is one of the most precious ingredients of the perfumer’s palette. The extraction process is very long and complex. The rhizome must first be treated, then left to dry for at least three years. Its extraordinarily powerful, almost all-pervading scent has characteristic powdery notes and a green woody facet that has comforting overtones of freshly baked bread in the heart notes of Dior Homme and Dior Homme Cologne.
Base Note
VETIVER: Native to India and Indonesia, but also found in Haiti and Reunion, vetiver is a perennial plant whose fragrant substances are contained in its roots. The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation. The lingering scent of vetiver is used in woody, chypre and oriental compositions. Vetiver brings its daring and sophistication to the dry-down of Eau Sauvage, Higher Energy and Dior Homme, and its free spirit to the heart notes of Fahrenheit 32
